Iain supports Hallé Orchestra Family Concerts Series
RNCM student Iain Masson is supporting the Hallé Orchestra Family Concerts Series on Sundays as a postgraduate student of the Royal Northern College of Music, assisting Steve Pickett and Caroline Clegg with the delivery of workshop activities.
Royal Northern College of Music Postgraduate course
Iain is delighted to have been accepted onto the Postgraduate Diploma in Composition (PGDip) course at the Royal Northern College of Music where his tutor will be Adam Gorb. The one-year course will gratefully be paid for in full with a grant from the Scottish government. Iain will begin his studies in September.
Shades has been the heart of music in Moseley for 10 years.
'Budget Report' Working Lunch coverage - BBC One live broadcast from Mailbox
Iain has performed as an incidental part of BBC One's 'Working Lunch' during live coverage of the Chancellor's Budget Report from BBC Birmingham / Mailbox. Iain was delighted to play as Bar Epernay pianist for Adrian Chiles who integrated a rather sombre choice of repertoire into a segment discussing possible implications of the budget on the hospitality sector. Mr. Chiles then bought the pianist a drink - a lovely surprise!
ORCHESTRAL: Iain Masson is Associate Conductor of Birmingham Concert Orchestra
Iain has returned to Birmingham Concert Orchestra as Associate Conductor. He will support Honorary Conductor Dr. Roy S. Lehrle in concerts. Iain was an apprentice conductor with the orchestra in 2001-2.
