Iain Masson will lead the West Mids Concertina Group through an afternoon of rags, march music and Mozart in a Concertina Band Afternoon on Saturday 1st February at The Starving Rascal, 1 Bettel Lane, Amblecote, DY8 4BN. 14:00-17:00. All systems are invited to take part.
Music will include Kerry Mills’ all-time favourite rag classic ‘Whistling Rufus’ arranged by Lanceley, ‘Brass Rag’ by Barbara Tate, March ‘Old Tottington Band’ arranged for concertina band (J. Bailey arr. J. Emmett & A. D. Townsend) and ‘Serenade’ by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart.
It is Iain’s 4th visit to the group as guest conductor.
