Railway200 special brass performance for BCIMO

Iain Masson has conducted Black Country Brass a BCIMO's Family Day which united the community and raised over £8000 for charity.

BCIMO is a not-for-profit Research and Technology Organisation (RTO) and operator of the Very Light Rail National Innovation Centre (VLRNIC).

The Family Day featured local businesses, fairground rides, exclusive train experiences, live entertainment, and a variety of food and drink options. Iain also got the chance to meet English record producer, songwriter, television peronality and railways enthusiast, Pete Waterman OBE.

Charities who benefitted from the event included The Kaleidoscope Plus Group, Railway Benefit Fund, 4Louis, Railway Children, and Young Lives vs. Cancer.

The event co-incided with Railway 200, a year-long national festival marking the 200th anniversary of the birth of the modern railway.

Iain said, "It was a privilege to be asked to perform at such a well-organised and enjoyable event. We were very lucky to be a part of such a special occasion. The future of innovative transport looks bright and exciting.'
