Iain Masson will lead a rehearsal with friendly Black Country Brass on Thursday 1st February 2024.
Black Country Brass are a social band where their primary objectives are centred around enjoying themselves and enjoying playing music for others.
The band is a relaxed, non-competing band with a family atmosphere. Its social activities outside the band room and park concerts are part of the life of the band, and each year it makes a difference by raising money for local charities including The Royal British Legion, Mary Stevens Hospice and Help for Heroes.
On its website, the band writes that new players are always welcome to come and have a blow, and interested players should get in contact and you will be made very welcome. Link for info: https://bcb.band/about/
Iain Masson, who is a former member of Arbroath Instrumental Band in North East Scotland, will rehearse a range of popular music and arrangements at the Band's rehearsal home of the Royal British Legion in Gornal.
Iain says, "I can't wait to meet the players and be involved on Thursday. I'm so grateful to friendly Thomas, who is so passionate about the band, for inviting me along. It looks like such great music in the music pads, music to cheer everyone up."
The Band rehearses 20.00-21.30 every Thursday Evening at the Lower Gornal Royal British Legion Club, Ruiton Street, Dudley, DY3 2EH.
